When you are suspected of driving under the influence of drugs, standard field sobriety tests may be administered when you are pulled over. However, Breathalyzer tests cannot be used, as drugs cannot be detected through your breath.

• You will be arrested and taken to the police station where other tests, such as blood and urine, will be administered to determine what substance or substances are in your system and the concentration of those substances.
• It does not matter if the substance is an illegal narcotic or a prescription drug for which you had a valid prescription. If the drug was affecting your ability to drive, police can arrest you.
